When three disparate souls, each with his own demons to fight, are being thrown together against the hustle and bustle of an emergency room, a hospital descends from a pristine sanctuary into an explosive battleground of stress and strife. Zhau (Vicki Zhao) is a young doctor who desperately needs a successful operation on a high-profile patient to redeem a previous failure which not only cost the life of a patient but her self-esteem. Han (Wallace Chung) is a suspect of multiple armed robberies and homicides, who has been taken to the hospital after being shot with a bullet in his head during a showdown with the police. Officer Lok (Louis Koo) is at first sight a gung-ho policeman who has participated in the showdown, but when he makes desperate attempts to do Han in by exploiting Zhau’s weaknesses, it is apparent he is harbouring a much darker secret.
Da Yi (Wallace Chung) has just been released from prison and he re-encountered brother Le who he worked with eight years ago. They decided to work together to do an assignment again. Meanwhile, in order to trace the mastermind behind the crime eight years ago, policeman Yong (Louis Koo), has been tracking down Da Yi. After Da Yi and gang managed to seize some narcotics, the police began to chase after them. Vicki Zhao’s role is a doctor who finds herself in a crossfire between the police and gangsters. Currently it is still unknown how her character will play out in the story. (Vicki was rumoured to be an assassin before the official conference. Guess they’ve changed the script? Because even now the script is still in the process of being finalised).
It’s been quite a while not watching this 3 legendary actors on show. Vicki Zhao – my favourite “Huang Zhu Ge Ge”, Louis Koo – my favourite “firefighter”, and Wallace Chung – the favourite “cops” in most drama.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely not going to miss this movie and will watch in cinema.
