  1. As always, this Ice Age trailer brings the laughs; mainly thanks to Scrat, who is as neurotic and adorable as always, but also thanks to the trio of Manny, Sid and Diego who are just as watchable as ever. 20th Century and Blue Sky always seem to be the unsung heroes of animation; dwarfed by Disney and Pixar, but there’s plenty of love out there for their movies and Collision Course looks like it will be equally as fun as all the others.

Kind of looking forward to this. I loved Simon Pegg's character from the third film and at least half of the films in this series are good.

  2. Ice Age doesn’t make much of an effort to appeal to adults, which is probably why these movies aren’t surrounded by nearly as much hype as Pixar or Disney’s animated features. In fact, the kids who made the first film an out-of-the-box hit have probably outgrown the series by now. But that isn’t a problem for Fox, since there’s always a new generation of children just waiting to fall in love with these hijinks-prone prehistoric mammals.

  3. These films have made hundreds of millions of dollars, so it's likely kids, tweens, and nostalgic teens will want to see this latest entry in the Ice Age franchise.

Some of you out there might be wondering why these Ice Age movies keep getting produced and keep enjoying theatrical releases rather than taking a step back onto the home video market like so many other animated franchises that came before it.

  4. As much as we should be paying attention to the story proper for Ice Age: Collision Course, we can't help but wonder what further trouble Scrat is going to cause throughout the latest film in the canon.
