"Finding Dory" will be focused on the amnesiac
character Dory, and will explore the idea of her being reunited with her
family. The setting is one year after "Finding Nemo" and will be set
off the coast of California.

into theaters in 2016, taking moviegoers back to the extraordinary underwater

Taking place six months after the events of "Finding
Nemo", amnesiac character Dory suddenly remembers her childhood memories.
Accompanied by Nemo and Marlin, she sets off on a personal journey to find her
family. She ends up at the Monterey Marine Life Institute, where she meets a
white Beluga whale named Bailey, a whale shark named Destiny and an Octopus
names Hank.
“Finding Dory” takes place about a year after the first film,
and features returning favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others.
Set in part along the California coastline, the story also welcomes a host of
new characters, including a few who will prove to be a very important part of
Dory’s life.
Finding Dory welcomes back to the big screen everyone’s
favorite forgetful blue tang Dory, who’s living happily in the reef with Marlin
and Nemo. When Dory suddenly remembers that she has a family out there who may
be looking for her, the trio takes off on a life-changing adventure across the
ocean to California’s prestigious Marine Life Institute, a rehabilitation
center and aquarium.

ReplyDeleteUnlike most Pixar fanatics, I actually never thought this day would come where we would return to the Coral Reefs of Australia. No offense but Nemo is one of my favorite movies from Pixar.

Dory and Nemo living joyously on the reef. In the sequel, Dory will learn about migration instincts and set off to find her family, with Nemo and Marlin in tow.

ReplyDelete“In Finding Dory, we can expect to address the one emotionally open-ended issue that remained from the first movie: Where is Dory’s family, and will this overly-optimistic fish with short-term memory loss ever is able to find them again? Her issue has also given us the opportunity to travel to very different locations, on land and sea, and meet a variety of new sea creatures that expand the world of Nemo, Marlin and Dory.”
ReplyDeleteAccording to an online source, "Finding Dory" is scheduled for release in theaters in Australia on June 16, 2016, followed by the US on June 17 and the UK on July 29.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I haven’t been particularly excited about Finding Dory. Of all the sequels Pixar could have done, a follow-up to Finding Nemo wasn’t really at the top of my list.
