  1. Many actors in the film have starred in films based on comic books: Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine in Batman Begins (2005), The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012), Jessie Eisenberg in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), and Mark Ruffalo in The Avengers (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015).

  2. Now You See Me 2 has actually undergone quite a few changes. Louis Leterrier was supposed to return following his success on the original. However he has now pulled out and been replaced by G.I. Joe: Retaliation's.

Actually what concerns me most is it's being directed by Jon M. Chu which directed that disaster that was GI Joe Retaliation.

  3. We don’t really get an idea of the story that will be in play this time, but we do get to see plenty of new visual trickery from Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco and Ruffalo. Plus, there’s newcomer Lizzy Caplan as a new character named Lula, stepping up to replace Isla Fisher who was unavailable due to her third pregnancy.

The fun part of this movie is the first one was all about a trick to the audience. With this movie, it slips to the other side of the curtain. We are with the Horsemen almost the whole time. We get to see them being placed into a magic trick themselves.

  4. There’s definitely a revenge aspect to the movie. Even though you don’t need to have seen the first movie to understand this movie we made, we made a very conscious decision to do that, it is actually a companion piece. If you do watch that first movie, the weight of events carry over to this movie, and it’s almost the second half of what they started there.
