  1. Well, most trailers exist mostly to whet the appetite. This looks quite fun. I didn't really like the first one, but it was entertaining enough and the star power on hand made it more compelling.

I was as thrilled as anybody to see Chow Yun-Fat return to populist Hong Kong films after so many years in Mainland costume epics, but those movies are far beneath him.

  2. I recently had the opportunity to see ‘Cold War’ and was deeply impressed with the results aside from a dubiously placed action sequence, and some of the casting choices.

The initial trailer for this film shows a brief line-up of supporting roles, including a character to be played by the very talented recording artist, who is trying her hand again at appearing in a feature film.

  3. Cold War, about the hijacking of a police car and the attempt to regain control of it, was the highest-grossing Hong Kong film in 2012.

  4. The introduction of Aarif Rahman around an hour into the film also does not help matters. Indeed, Rahman's time on screen with the likes of Leung and Kwok only serves to show that he has a long way to go before he can truly match the charisma and acting chops of the veterans.
