  1. This looks like it will have a lot of the usual jump scares, but it looks to be done right in this trailer. The “ON and OFF” of the light is definitely a great way to represent the full effect of jump scares. This is such a smart movie production that will create the effect of psychologically shocking to the audience.

  2. A woman is haunted by a creature that only appears when the lights go out. This movie is a feature adaptation of the 2013 short film, "Lights Out" by David Sandberg.

The story centers on a supernatural entity attacking a family, with one of the members required to step up to protect them from a threat that can be seen only when the lights go out.

It definitely makes you forget about going to sleep alone after watching the trailer for Lights Out!

  3. In reality, it is hard to create a truly frightening cinematic experience these days. We have seen it all, heard it all, and felt it all. We are desensitized to the "jump scare" and bored with the "psychologically shocking." Yet sometimes a movie comes along that is so bone-chillingly scary we can't sleep at night. Invariably these films and their creators seem to come out of nowhere.

  4. James Wan is going to have a busy summer scaring the bejesus out of you. First he’s got "The Conjuring 2" coming and a month later, he will unleash his producing powers on "Lights Out," which will once again make you afraid of the dark.

A horror movie from producer James Wan, comes a tale of an unknown terror that lurks in the dark.
