After the events seen in the first two movies, the third
"Star Trek" film sees a much darker turn and deeper space exploration
for the USS Enterprise team.
The crew of the starship Enterprise embarks on another
mission into deep space in this Paramount production penned by Star Trek and
Star Trek Into Darkness scribes Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
Captain James Tiberius Kirk (Pine), Spock (Quinto), and the
rest of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew return in the third installment of the
rebooted franchise, which will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Star Trek.
They encounter a new enemy who puts everything they and the Federation stand
for to the ultimate test.
The USS Enterprise crew explores the furthest reaches of
uncharted space, where they encounter a mysterious new enemy who puts them and
everything the Federation stands for to the test.
After the crew of the Enterprise found an unstoppable force
of terror from within their own organization, Captain Kirk leads a manhunt to a
war-zone world to capture a one-man weapon of mass destruction.
The first leg of the USS Enterprise's five year mission takes
them into uncharted territory. There the Enterprise is nearly destroyed and
strands Kirk and his crew on a remote planet with no means of communication.
Kirk must then work with the elements to reunite his crew and get back to
Earth.
Ever since the press leading up to the release of Into Darkness, rumors have been floating around that Quinto is sick of playing Spock, as the actor doesn’t want to become too heavily associated with the iconic role.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, and this needs to be said, trailers are not always designed to accurately represent the final finished film, but rather what studios want general audiences to think the film might be like.
The last Star Trek Beyond teaser, and that’s really all it was, did a fine job of announcing the film’s existence eight months prior to release and positioning it in front of the $2 billion-worth of people who saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
ReplyDeleteThe opening of the trailer cuts together what look likes unconnected lines of dialogue that work as a meta-commentary on the song.
Star Trek Beyond’s trailer has more action than most of what you’ll find in a season of the original series.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the action in Star Trek Beyond also heads back to Starfleet Academy, and if you go through real slow you’ll see other aliens sprinkled throughout.
It’s not clear how the death of Star Trek Beyond‘s Anton Yelchin will affect movie going. In the past, audiences have shown an interest in seeing a performer’s final appearance on the big screen.
ReplyDeleteI love all different kinds of movies and there’s a place for the new Treks on that list.
