"Walley World" in order to spice things up with his wife and
reconnect with his sons. Hoping to bring his family closer together and to
recreate his childhood vacation for his own kids, an adult Rusty Griswold takes
his wife and two sons on a cross-country road trip to Walley World. Needless to
say, things don't go quite as planned.
Ed Helms stars in the New Line Cinema reboot of the Vacation
film series as Rusty Griswald, the son of Chevy Chase's iconic character of the
original four films. Horrible Bosses' helmers John Francis Daley and Jonathan
Goldstein write and direct.
Rusty Griswold, the youngest child from 1983's National
Lampoon's Vacation is all grown up with a family of his own and fond childhood
memories of a certain family road trip to Walley World, "America's
Favorite Family Fun Park." Like his father, Clark (Chevy Chase), Rusty
wants to forge closer bonds with his own family - wife Debbie (Christina
Applegate) and boys James and Kevin (Skyler Gisondo and Steele Stebbins) - so
he buys a souped-up Albanian van and convinces them to set off on their own
crazy cross-country jaunt to Walley World. Directed by John Francis Daley and
Jonathan M. Goldstein.
Am I the only one who thought of We're The Millers?
ReplyDeleteThe movie does look good!
We're the Miller's should remind you of this because the Vacation movies have been around since the 70's.
The super hybrid car is a Toyota Previa that's supposed to be the new Family Truckster. It's kinda double ended looking with Range Rover headlights for some reason and is "supposed to run on" gas, diesel, and electricity.
