SYNOPSIS:
From acclaimed horror director, Eli Roth, THE GREEN INFERNO
follows a group of student activists who travel from New York City to the
Amazon to save the rainforest. However, once they arrive in this vast green
landscape, they soon discover that they are not alone, and that no good deed
goes unpunished.
A group of student activists from New York City travel to the
Amazon to protect a dying tribe, but crash in the jungle and are taken hostage
by the very natives they saved.
The film was produced and financed by Worldview Entertainment
and premiered in the Midnight Madness section at the Toronto Film Festival.
Roth co-wrote the screenplay from his original idea with “Aftershock” co-writer
Guillermo Amoedo.
